Nobuyuk - Courageous Dentist

We met Dr. Nobuyuk on our first mission to Ishinomaki. His laser dentistry clinic had been destroyed by the tsunami, all his laser equipment was ruined, and his wife was lost to the disaster. With the help of his brother, his son and friends, by the end of April he was ready to modestly re-open the clinic, have a dignified occupation and provide much needed services to the local population. The first pictures are from our first visit and the level to which the mud had filled everything can be appreciated by the marks on the wall. The last pictures show his clinic ready to re-open and Dr. Nobuyuk himself posing with his brother, his son and a picture of his lost wife.
